Executive Search Case Studies
East Hampton, CT
Randi Frank Consulting, LLC conducted the search for a new Town Manager for the Town of East Hampton. The process entailed the development of a position profile as well as a national search. The Town used a small citizen’s committee along with two retired Town Managers to conduct the initial interviews of the top candidates. The Council then interviewed the finalists employing a one-on-one interview and a group interview.
Norwich, CT
Randi Frank Consulting, LLC teamed with Slavin Management Consultants to assist the Norwich, Connecticut City Council in the selection of a new City Manager in 2007. In 2008 we returned to work with the new City Manager and the newly elected City Council to set goals and objectives. The top 10 goals and objectives were mutually agreed upon through open discussions and rankings to direct the City Manager and let him know the Council’s priorities for the next fiscal year.
Newark and New Castle, DE
Randi Frank Consulting, LLC and Slavin Management Consultants teamed up to conduct an executive
search for a new City Manager in
Newark, DE, and a Land Use Manager
for New Castle County, DE.
The process entailed meeting with
appropriate stakeholders to determine
what key qualifications, skills,
abilities were needed, along with
the issues and projects that will
face the new Manager. We then put
this information into a specialized
profile to share with potential candidates.
The end products were glossy
brochures (City Manager-Newark and Land Use Manager-New Castle) with information about
the community as well as the position.
Another part of our service included
interviewing the top candidates at
their current locations to get a better
understanding of their responsibilities
as well as their personality
to insure they would be a good fit
with the municipality.
