DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES

CLOSING DATE: August 21, 2009

SALARY RANGE: $70,000-$76,000

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: A Master's Degree in EMS, public health, public administration or a related field; five years of EMS experience, with three of those years in a responsible supervisory and administrative position; a Bachelor's Degree in EMS, public health, public administration or a related field; a paramedic license; seven years of EMS experience, with three of those years in a responsible supervisory and administrative position; or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to these requirements.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: This is a highly responsible position involving the development, delivery and management of emergency medical services (EMS).

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Under the general supervision of the Director of Public Safety

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Will supervise all staff assigned to the Department (about 34 FT & PT).
